Tots Play Sutton Coldfield

“I have only recently set up my business running baby and toddler classes in Sutton Coldfield.  I regularly hire the Community Centre Building and the process really couldn’t have been made easier for me.  Karen was very happy to show me around the rooms and offered me lots of information with regards to parking, facilities etc. It is very easy to book and pay for the room, with an invoice sent each month displaying all of the costs to make it nice and simple.

I have been offered lots of support with my business along the way also as my poster has been clearly displayed in the foyer and my leaflets are available also for people to pick up as they enter and leave the building.

The room itself is ideal, it is spacious, light and airy.  It has all of the facilities required such as well looked after toilets, baby change and kitchen area. It is always immaculately clean! The parking facilities are fantastic too, my customers have never encountered issues finding a space. I really look forward to continuing using the room as it has not only met but surpassed my expectations! Thanks everyone at All Saints Church for being so supportive of me and my new business.” Emma Stobo, Tots Play Sutton Coldfield

“All Saints’ Church Centre is an ideal facility for our indoor sport of boccia. They provide an excellent security system at the entrance to the building and provide a high level of cleanliness any hygiene. The administrative staff are easy to communicate with and are very helpful and accommodating. All Saints provide excellent hire rates and our club are delighted to have the Centre for our sports evening.”

COVID-19 Update July 2022

Everyone here at the Church and Church Centre truly hope that you and your loved ones have been able to stay safe and well during the past two and a half years, our prayers have been with everyone during this time.

In line with recommendations of the Government, ACRE and in agreement with our Committee we have revised our Risk Assessment in respect of the mitigations in place at the Centre and invite you to review the document by clicking here.

We would still recommend vigilance, care and common sense and are continuing to provide hand gel, cleaning materials for the halls and recommended precautions throughout the Centre for the benefit of us all.

Thank you so much to our regular hirers and all the church groups that have supported us throughout with every hoop we have asked you to jump through. Without your co-operation we would not have been able to open when we did. 🙏

Little Seedlings

Contributed by Sally Cox

If you haven’t visited Little Seedlings on a Monday morning yet then you are missing a treat!

It is the reincarnation of toddler group which had been going for more than 30 years under the watchful eye of Rosamund. During those years our own children have played, grown up and now some of them attend with their children. Thanks Rosamund for a job well done.

Sharon Saunders is the new lead. Her fresh ideas, energy and extreme hard work have resulted in a group that is to be envied. There is a dedicated soft play area for babies, outdoor fun with mud kitchens, sand box and ride on toys. You can cut and stick, paint, explore different environments or just play with your friends and hopefully make new ones.

Each week has different theme just to keep everyone on their toes.

The buzz of friendly chatter and happy children is a joy. If you know any friends or neighbours with young children or grandchildren, then tell them all about Little Seedlings they would be made very welcome as would any of you. You would even get a cuppa and if your lucky a biscuit if the children don’t get there first!!

Platinum Jubilee Celebrations at the Church Centre

“Lovely food”
“So nice to have us all together”
“Great to see the children having fun”
“Delicious food”
“The hall looks fabulous, so festive”
“It just had to be Coronation Chicken!”

Just some of the comments from our very successful Jubilee Lunch.

The bunting was up, festive cloths at the ready, Coronation Chicken prepared and away we went.

The strains of Pomp and Circumstance, Land of Hope and Glory and Golden Years from David Bowie played in the background.

It was really lovely to join together and enjoy food and fellowship. A real community occasion, smiling faces, happy children and adults.

A super way to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee of our Queen who has served us diligently as a firm defender of our faith and a fine example of service to others.

Something to Celebrate!!

All Saints’ Bar is re-opening and we will be holding a launch BBQ on Friday 23rd July for our members.

Please contact the office email address to let us know if you are coming as numbers are obviously limited. Places will be on a first come, first served basis, so don’t delay.

You will notice lots of changes in the building relating to the mitigations we have put in place for Covid-19. Masks must be worn in the communal areas of the entrance and bathrooms (unless you are exempt) but can be removed when seated at your table. We will be operating table service so please do not approach the Bar, you just need to catch the eye of our wonderful bar staff and they will come to you.

The size of the bar area does mean that tables and chairs have been spaced as they need to be and should not be moved. We are also unable to operate a one way system, so please be mindful of the signage advising what side of the entrance to use and keep up that social distancing.

COVID-19 Birmingham County Council Chartership Award June 2021

We are delighted to let all our customers know that we were recently inspected by Birmingham City Council and have surpassed all requirements in respect of providing our community with a Covid Secure building.

We will continue to remain vigilant in this effort and hope that everyone can appreciate the necessity for the mitigations that are currently in place.
